Geliebt oder gehasst, kann man das so bei diesem Addon schreiben? Vollkommen egal ist dies aber im Bezug auf unsere aktuelle Version 2.03 des Addons.

Ganz taufrisch (keine 30min alt) ist das Update für den QuestHelper. Aktuell in der Version 0.77 mit folgenden Änderungen:
* More data collection, focused around loot
* Remove some false positive errors that aren’t really important
* Stop dropping out of “load mode” prematurely
* Discourage use of the Deeprun Tram somewhat
* Perhaps fix the nil flightpath resurgence error and the nil dodads pos issue
* Ramp up CPU usage further while initializing (maybe this should be a preference? I dunno, leave a comment and let me know if you care. Right now the “initializing” segment is essentially “/qh perf 2500%” - the lower that number goes, the longer it’ll take, obviously.)
* I don’t even want to think about how many submitted files are added, but it’s a lot

Für den QuestHelper gibt es ein neues Update im Downloadbereich. Das Update für das Planet-WoW Minipack erfolgt in wenigen Minuten. Hier die Änderungen:
* Add some more performance benchmarking to help track down the Dalaran issue
* Move some initialization out of bootup and into a coroutine to speed up loading times (at the expense of initialization time, and some framerate soon after logging in, but if you’ve logged out in a pvp zone you’re probably logging in dead anyway, so whatever, stby)
*Add some smarter hey-please-donate code that should bug people for about two days every 3 weeks or so

Auch hier gibt es eine neue Version, aktuell haben wir jetzt die 2.010.
Folgende Aenderungen gab es zur Vorgängerversion:

Updated hundreds of quests.
* Moved Dalaran zone location so it is just above the City icon in Crystalsong Forest.
* Updated map zone hotspots.
* Added 4 connections between Cyrstalsong Forest and surronding zones.
* Added check for window max width being smaller than normal width and for the opposite case to find/stop map size bug.
* Fixed map alignment and/or scale problems with Wintergrasp, Sholazar Basin, Crystalsong, Dalaran and Storm Peaks.
* Fixed HUD Arrow text so it shows quest objective from quest not database, so you get localized text. Also shows count.

Dieses Addon ist bei vielen Spielern sehr beliebt, verfügt es doch über eine umfangreiche Datenbank mit den exakten Angaben zur Position von Questgebern und Questzielen.
Nebenbei zeigt es dir auch den schnellsten Weg zur Questlösung sowie die ungefähre Zeitangabe, welche man für den Weg benötigt.
Probeweise habe ich einige Quest damit gemacht und bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Addon.

Dieses Addon ist so etwas wie die “Eierlegendewollmilchsau”. Eine umfangreiche Questdatenbank, eine zoombare Map mit Informationen und unter anderem eine Liste, die mit Spielernamen konfigurierbar ist, die dann als Alarm angezeigt werden, wenn sich diese in der Nähe befinden
Ein wirkliches Higlight, wie es scheint. Ich werde mir das Addon in den nächsten Wochen im Spiel genauer ansehen und es testen.
